LegalTech Academy MeetUp: Data in the Legal Sector
2021-10-05 @ 18:00 - 19:00
The emergence of data-driven systems and legal technology tools, combined with the rapid pace of digital transformation (further accelerated by the pandemic) put significant pressures on legal teams. Lawyers, both those working in corporations and in law firms, are increasingly required to track and evaluate the actual value they create for business. To demonstrate the value-add of legal services, we find that legal teams must evolve into a strategic task force that better understands and efficiently deploys technology, in particular data analytics.
This English-language meetup is hosted by LegalTech Academy. The interactive discussions will combine IT insights about data and their applicability in legal context. The meetup is meant to be a unique learning opportunity for legal and business teams — save the date and join us if legal innovation is on your list of priorities!
In the context of digital transformation, lawyers – like other professional service providers — are increasingly under pressure to provide value-added, yet also client-centric legal services. To provide additional value and quality support to clients, lawyers need to equip themselves with tools that enable them to go beyond traditional ways of working. Although “data culture” has been around for a while, the legal profession is yet to engage with data anyalytics in a creative and transformative manner. Packaging old ways of working into technology while also coming up with new legal service delivery models is not an easy process. This webinar brings practical insights to help move ahead in this direction!
Join Łukasz Malicki from Random Forest, a data scientist whose mission is to transform data into business insights, and Orsolya Szabó, founder and CEO of InvestCEE LegalTech Consultancy and a legaltech specialist in legal data analytics on October 5, 6 pm CET (to 7 pm) to learn about tips and tricks of extracting and analyzing data in legal context. We’d recommend this webinar as a source of inspiration for both in-house legal teams and private practice attorneys in CEE and beyond.

We previously shared our insights on how data analytics is relevant for lawyers. We had also looked at global studies about data-driven legal departments in corporations.
