In-house counsel and law firms attending LegalTech Mastermind Day (2025 edition) had casted their votes at our legal operations survey. We asked eight questions regarding their current optimization goals and legaltech priorities. You will find all the responses summarized in the downloadable PDF shared herein. Many thanks to everyone who joined the live demo sessions and took part of the polls!
LegalTech Mastermind Day is our annual open demo day where we showcase a selection of our LegalTech Toolkit. The 30-minute demo blocks offer valuable insights into product features for our audience of legal counsel, private practice attorneys and IT managers who are looking to implement new tools that will fit their corporate culture and existing technology infrastructure.
The demo videos are also available upon demand, please get in touch to access the recordings.
Optimizing Legal Operations
Whether entrusted with the legal team or a dedicated operational unit, optimizing legal workstreams is about implementing more efficient processes across the spectrum: ✔️ matter management, ✔️ legal drafting, ✔️ digital contracting workflows, ✔️ data-driven reporting, ✔️ corporate governance and more. Carefully considered priorities and action plans are fundamental in this context. Here’s how our professional community is prioritizing when it comes to legal innovation projects:
8 Polls on LegalTech Priorities
At InvestCEE we regularly prepare detailed software reviews, whitepapers and infographics of legal technology tools, hence we have a good understanding of key features and functionalities offered by our solution partners. Also, when working on client projects we carefully map out user priorities to make sure that we recommend products which will fit well specific user needs.
The 8 poll questions we asked at LegalTech Mastermind Day this year aimed to help attendees focus in on actual technology use cases and reflect on their own priorities:
➤ How would you benefit from a legal data hub in your legal department?
➤ What is your biggest challenge with legal drafting?
➤ What challenges would you solve with an end-to-end contracting platform?
➤ How would you benefit from AI’s natural language processing support?
➤ How would you use technology in corporate housekeeping?
➤ What is your top priority in legal practice management?
➤ What is your biggest challenge in professional knowledge work?
➤ How would you benefit from AI-assisted contract management?
Implementation Support for Legal Teams
Selecting, reviewing and implementing a new solution in legal operations, then onboarding new users and integrating the tool with existing IT infrastructure, can be a challenging transition. The process may put legal, business and tech teams under pressure – unless a change management plan is carefully designed and rolled out.
When exploring use cases and pilot projects, we provide comprehensive support to our clients. Here’s how our ideal project team looks like:
➤ LegalTech IT support: the customer success teams at our tech partners play a major role in the initial phase of any implementation project. They provide personalized demos, data migration support, preliminary trainings to user teams and overall attention to all aspects of the testing period.
➤ Project management support: where required, our professional team at InvestCEE LegalTech Consultancy is ready to audit technology solutions, prepare implementation step-plans, and communicate with stakeholders to bridge the gap between internal requirements and legaltech vendors.
➤ Legal operations team: internal champions at organizations are the ones actually leading the pilot projects for legaltech investments. They evaluate the product features and check alignment with company strategic goals. We support their work as much as possible so that they receive any and all input necessary to prepare the investment decision at their organization.
➤ Business decision-makers: buy-in from top management is the final step for strategic tech acquisitions to succeed. Once the leadership has approved the investment, the parties can proceed to signing the final licensing agreement and onboarding new users.

Conclusions
We found the survey results from InvestCEE’s latest open demo day very insightful: lawyers from all backgrounds clearly have perspective on where to go next. Certainly, there isn’t a single magical tool that would do it all for legal departments or law firms, but leaders can definitely make smart choices and walk the legal innovation path step-by-step. Choosing tools that fit well with the corporate culture (and existing IT infrastructure), enhance team collaboration and contribute to more balanced work-life.
